Our Policy

Our term dates are in accordance with the NSW Public School Calendar Terms as pronounced each year.

Lessons are held weekly, with each term usually lasting 10 weeks. There are 4 terms per year.

• New students are offered a one-off, paid trial lesson covering practical and theory components, during which the student’s goals will also be discussed.
• The Educator conducting the trial may not be the regular assigned Educator.

Principal Educator Lessons (Studio & Online):
Strong technique foundations, structured progress, and advanced AMEB preparation.
45 min – $85 | 60 min – $110

Associate Educator Lessons (Mobile & Online):
Structured tuition designed to build confidence, consistent progress, and AMEB preparation.
45 min – $75 | 60 min – $95

A 20% surcharge applies for lessons scheduled on Sundays, Public Holidays, and NSW Public School Holidays.

A 20% surcharge applies for NDIS-funded students due to additional administrative obligations and support requirements.

Surcharge Fees do not apply to make-up or replacement lessons.

• • Term invoices are emailed at the beginning of each term. A separate invoice is emailed for extra holiday lessons at the beginning of the holiday period.

    All invoices must be paid in full by the due date. Part payments are not accepted.

  • A 10% fee applies to invoices not paid by the due date. Lessons may be suspended until payment is received. Time slots are not guaranteed during suspension.
  • No refunds or credits apply, this includes but not limited to missed lessons, late starts, change of mind, or changes in circumstances (e.g., changing schools or activity clashes). Surcharge fees are non-refundable.

Sibling Discount:

• First child pays full lesson fees. Second child: 10% off the lesser or equal lesson fee. Third and subsequent children: 15% off the lesser or equal lesson fee.

  Discounts apply only to siblings from the same immediate family and only if accounts are paid by the due date. Discounts do not apply to Surcharge Fees or additional travel fees.

Creative Kids Voucher:

• Creative Kids is a campaign run by the NSW Government to make it easier for school aged kids (4.5 to 18 years old) to get involved in creative and cultural activities.

• Little Big Piano is a registered provider – use your voucher to get $100 off piano lessons.

• Apply Online for your Creative Kids voucher directly through Service NSW.

Planned Absences
Notify us 14 days in advance in writing for holidays, events, or commitments. You may pay for the term and forfeit the missed lesson, or skip the term (preferred day, time, location, or educator cannot be guaranteed).

Unplanned Absences
Notify us at least 12 hours in advance in writing for illness, late starts or early termination of a lesson. Missed lessons are not refunded. Rescheduling is only possible under the Make-Up Lesson Policy.

Make-Up Lessons – Student Absence
Each student is entitled to one make-up lesson in the same term. The Educator determines the day for the make-up lesson, in person or online, and communicates this in advance to enable planning. Attendance is mandatory. If unable to attend, the make-up lesson will be forfeited.

Replacement Lessons – Educator Absence
If the Educator is unavailable, a replacement lesson will be scheduled in the same term, in person or online and communicated in advance to enable planning. If you cannot attend, a credit applies to the next term, or a refund if lessons cease at term end.

Complete Terms of Agreement are emailed with your trial lesson or term invoice.
